About Me
Hello, my name is Rodric Laxina you could call me Rodric or Aiki. I grew up in California and moved to Alaska around my sophomore year of high school, then I moved back to California around 2020 just to be closer to my family. The music that I listen to on a daily basis would probably be R&B and downtempo electronica as well as hip-hop / rap and Kpop/Jpop. Music that I dislike would have to be country; it just doesn’t speak to me. It seems repetitive and has the same lyrical rhyming and stories. I enjoy watching anime hanging out with friends and when I have time.
When I was younger I used to play the violin and piano but I have lost the skills to play again but I am pretty sure if I took a class again it would come back to me. Nowadays, I usually just audio edit beats and songs that I like by changing their pitch, duration, reverb and other audio effects. I like to listen to music, audio edit on Sony Vegas pro or play video games. I look forward to learning more about music this semester. Nice to meet you!
an image I find appealing would probably be concept designs in video games such as this one from Genshin Impact they have very bright and dynamic concepts that I like:
Welcome to another class! What a sweet song. I don't think I have ever heard pop music out of Vietnam. My God kids used to listen to K Pop and Thai music. I'll have to send this to Mu Klay and see what she thinks. She's a Freshman in college.
ReplyDeleteHello Rodric! Your blog is super fun! I can the vibes through the screen. Genshin is such a beautiful game. I have never played it myself, but I have watched hours of my friends playing it. It seems to never end! My roommates listen to a lot of Kpop so I am newly exposed, but I have been enjoying Turbulence by ATEEZ and Shoot Me by Day6. I haven't explored Vietnamese music at all so your linked song was very new to me. Thanks for sharing, can't wait to learn with you with semester!
